We hired Shelley Feeley from Get It Done Connecticut to plan and execute my son’s party to celebrate his graduation from Avon High School. Shelley took a large, complex project, and broke it down into manageable pieces that she perfectly coordinated and professionally executed. She negotiated with all the vendors for the best quality service and products at reasonable rates. The event included catering for international guests, menu creation, decorating, and preparing and serving food and beverages for 35 people. Several years ago we decided we wanted to have a formal Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party for our daughter and Shelley was the first person that came to mind. We have gone to a number of events that she has hosted and knew she would help us put together something fabulous. We presented her with a rough idea and she made it happen! Shelley did all the work and presented us with fantastic options to choose from. There was no stress and we couldn’t have asked for a better success. Her attention to detail was phenomenal.

 

The overall plan was to take our daughter and 11 friends to NYC for the glamorous evening and Shelley took care of everything. She started by presenting us with pictorial options for stationery, outfit, accessories, cake, restaurants (including location and menus) and party favors. It was so easy to pick everything! She even shopped with our daughter for a day to get that perfect dress, shoes, coat, purse, scarf, gloves and jewelry combination. She negotiated the rate for an eighteen passenger white stretch Hummer limousine and arranged all the stops with the chauffeur. She even prepared all our daughter’s favorite music!

 

The evening started with a pre-party gathering at our house that Shelley decorated with white lights, foliage and tulle. She prepared several appetizers for the girls and had a photographer taking pictures while they waited for the limo to arrive. Once they were ready to go, Shelley had more appetizers for the limo as well as sparkling cider. We accompanied the limo with our car and joined them just outside the city for the last fifteen minutes and reversed it for the way home.

 

One of our favorite details was that each girl had a champagne flute in the limo with a unique Pandora charm that became one of their party favors. Our daughter and her friends are singers, dancers, and actors so dinner was at Ellen’s Stardust Diner. Shopping and photo ops in Time Square followed.

 

When the limo returned to our house, the evening ended with a beautiful cannoli birthday cake that Shelley also made. Our daughter loves cannolis and it was wonderful. In addition, Shelley prepared “Oscar” type gift bags for each girl, keeping with the glamorous theme that included various hair, skin and spa products as well as some sweet treats.

 

The entire event was better than we could have imagined. Our daughter and her friends loved every minute. Overall, Shelley did an outstanding job on everything and we look forward to our big next event – prom!
